Seth Rogen Combines Pot with Pottery to Pass Time While in Isolation

Looking for a way to beat the COVID-19 pandemic blues? Follow Seth Rogen’s example and smoke copious amounts of weed!

Despite Rogen’s claims that smoking weed has helped him cope with isolation and social distancing, this period of uncertainty hasn’t been all that unpleasant for the actor and weed enthusiast.

“This has not been that bad for me,” Rogen recently told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview over video chat. “I am built for this. I’ve kind of been in self-isolating since 2009, I think, to be totally honest.”

It’s also important to keep in mind that Rogen is in a pretty unique position compared most other stoners of the world, as he doesn’t have to look far to replenish his stash. He his own brand of cannabis called Houseplant – a company co-founded by Rogen and screenwriting partner Evan Goldberg in partnership with Canopy Growth.

He also doesn’t ever have to worry about running out of toilet paper.

“Worse comes to worse, I have a box of McLovin T-shirts in my garage from 2007, so can use those,” Rogen joked, referring to the iconic character from his film Superbad.

Rogen was born in Canada but is currently quarantining at his home in Los Angeles, one of the cities that’s been hardest hit by the Coronavirus and is on its third month of strict lockdown measures. For this reason, the Vancouver native is eternally grateful that cannabis dispensaries have been declared an essential service during the pandemic.

“Thank god that it’s been declared an essential service because, truly, for me, it is essential. I never felt like I willed any law into existence more than that one,” Rogen told Kimmel.

But cannabis isn’t the only pot Rogan has been dabbling in. Rogen also revealed to the late-night television host that he and his wife, Lauren Miller, have taken up pottery as a hobby to help pass the time while cooped up at home.

“I do pottery, ceramics, yeah, I’ve been doing a ton of that,” said Rogen, adding that he has even found a company that will deliver clay right to his home.

Rogen owns three pottery wheels, one for him, one for his wife, and an extra one in case “friends want to do pottery with us.” He even also has his own kiln.

But rather than bongs and other weed paraphernalia, Rogen has funneled his creativity into making soap dispensers, of all things.

“I started making soap dispensers because I think that is à propos in this era that we’re in,” he said.

What are you doing to help pass the time during this pandemic? Are you smoking ungodly amounts of weed?
